Palliative Care

When a resident reaches the end stages of their life journey, our palliative care services ensure they are surrounded by comfort, dignity, and compassionate support. We work closely with families during this deeply personal time to honour each individual's wishes and values.

  • Comfort-focused, person-centred end-of-life care

  • Pain and symptom management

  • Emotional and spiritual support for residents and families

  • Coordination with hospice and community palliative care teams

Resident Home Areas

The facility is organized into four distinct resident home areas, each designed to create an intimate, familiar living environment for up to 32 residents. This neighbourhood-style model fosters stronger relationships between residents and care staff, and helps each area feel less like a facility and more like a home.

  • Dedicated dining and activity spaces within each home area

  • Cozy lounges for socializing, relaxing, and family visits

  • Personalized bedroom spaces

  • Staff teams dedicated to each home area for consistent, familiar care

Recreation & Social Programming

A meaningful life doesn't stop at the door. Our recreation and programming team creates a full calendar of activities designed to stimulate the mind, nurture the spirit, and foster connection.

  • Daily recreational and therapeutic activities

  • Arts, crafts, music, and games

  • Outdoor time in secure landscaped courtyards with elder-friendly paths

  • Resident gardening with accessible outdoor planters

  • Social events, seasonal celebrations, and community visits

  • Volunteer programs

Nutrition & Dining

Good food is good care. Our kitchen team prepares nutritious, well-balanced meals and serves them in a warm dining environment within each resident's home area. We accommodate dietary needs, preferences, and cultural traditions.

  • Three meals daily plus snacks

  • Dietitian-approved menu planning

  • Therapeutic diet accommodations (texture-modified, diabetic, etc.)

  • Culturally appropriate meal options, including Francophone cuisine traditions

  • Family-style dining atmosphere to encourage social connection
